ABOUT ALANNA

Nice to meet you, I'm Alanna, an Authorised Marriage celebrant based in Brisbane QLD.

I'm young, fun, vibrant and professional- and of course, a hopeless romantic who has a "way with words". I first picked up a microphone professionally as a Contiki Tour Leader in Europe in 2014. I learned very quickly to get comfortable public speaking in front of large groups of people, how to write epic speeches, direct and organise large groups of people, and of course make sure people feel relaxed and have fun.

When my sister got engaged I decided to transfer this handy skillset over to become a celebrant and studied to earn my Certificate IV in Celebrancy. I've never looked back. Nowadays, I live a way more settled life in the heart of Brisbane city, working full-time for the Council, and marrying lovebirds on the weekends. I am also lucky to have an incredibly supportive fiance who encourages me in my work as a Celebrant (and also sometimes tags along to help set up and sound check my PA system with me).

I've been involved in weddings as a Bridesmaid, MC, and of course as a Celebrant. I'm a proud member of The Celebrant Society and am so grateful to be part of this community who continually lift each other up, share quality business advice and also share a good sense of humour.
